With the colder air settling here in Austin, Texas, I’ve been really appreciating the warm, quiet moments with my cup of tea. Drinking tea can be a beautiful habit that helps bring peace to your mind, body, and soul in a very tangible, visceral way.
A warmth that fills your palms, and gently soothes the throat, chest, and belly...
An uplifting aroma that stimulates & awakens the senses...
Deep nourishment that weaves in and out of every cell in your body...
At times, a cup of tea might be needed to ease an upset belly. At other times, it may be to quiet the mind.
Whatever your reason for enjoying a steamy cup of tea, make sure to take a pause and truly appreciate the moment.
I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
My breath is full. My body is relaxed. My mind is still.
Inhale love; exhale gratitude.
This too shall pass. Everything is temporary.
I surrender to the greater good.
I am a channel of peace, love & kindness.
I am dedicated to my well-being.
I trust that the universe will support me and show me the way.
Shanti, shanti, shanti (Peace, peace, peace)
May I be happy. May I be safe. May I love & be loved. May I live in peace. BONUS: List the things you are grateful for while you drink your tea - either silently in your heart, or write them down.
