Chai Spiced Pear Pie

This recipe is a Masala Chai blend favorite! A delicious dessert that will spice up your get-together with friends and family, or to be enjoyed just for yourself!


All of these ingredients are considered sattvic food. Sattvic (in Ayurveda) refers to foods that are fresh, juicy, light, nourishing, and tasty, and thus give the necessary energy to the body and help achieve balance.


Lastly, add a mantra of your choice while making, baking, and eating, and you get a perfect combo of sattvic food for body, mind & spirit 🤎


Crust Ingredients:

1 cup almond flour

1 cup oat flour

1/2 cup tapioca starch

1/2 cup melted coconut oil (or ghee)

2 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 tsp. sea salt Crust Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º

  2. Combine all ingredients, and press into a pie tin. Bake for 7 minutes. Once fully cooked, let it completely cool.

Filling Ingredients:

2 large pears

Lemon Juice (1/2 a lemon)

Maple Syrup

Filling Directions:

  1. Combine 2-4 tbsp of maple syrup (depending on how sweet you want it) & lemon juice together.

  2. Slice pears into thin pieces

  3. Add pears and let them soak for 10-15 min

  4. After pear pieces have soaked, arrange nicely on the pie crust, & bake for 30 min on 350ª until pears begin to brown a bit. Check occasionally to make sure they don't get burned.
