Vegan Masala Chai Pancakes

Get inspired to cook and bake with our herbal spice blends with this delicious, vegan, gluten-free pancake recipe, adapted from the Eat Feel Fresh cookbook and made with our Ayurvedic Masala Chai blend.


This blend is caffeine-free, with no added sugars and no preservatives & non-GMO. Made with Ceylon cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, and black pepper, it is warming, comforting, and supports the immune system.*

Vegan Masala Chai Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup quinoa flour (you can make your own flour by placing 1/4 cup quinoa in a coffee grinder, which yields 1/3 cup flour)

  • 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk

  • 1 tbsp sunflower seed or almond butter

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp DelighTeas Masala Chai blend

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp monk fruit maple syrup or pure maple syrup

  • 1 tsp ACV or lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • Coconut oil, or ghee for cooking


DIRECTIONS:

In a large bowl stir together all ingredients except coconut oil - let sit for 5 min to thicken


Heat 1 tsp oil in a skillet over medium heat. Spoon 2 tbsp of batter into skillet and make into a pancake shape. Cook 2 min or until bottom is firm and bubbles appear


Flip and cook 1-2 min more.


Top for your dosha or tastes:

  • Vata - almond butter, fresh berries, monk fruit syrup, or pure maple

  • Pitta - banana, walnuts, monk fruit syrup pr pure maple

  • Kapha - pomegranate seeds and cacao nibs
